Kässbohrer Transport Technik has its roots in the Kässbohrer group of companies, founded in Ulm by Karl Kässbohrer in 1893.

From 1910 the emphasis was laid on the establishment of various areas: busses (from 1910), construction of bogies for commercial vehicles (from 1924), development and manufacturing of piste bullies (from 1969), etc.

From 1950 onwards the first covered models of vehicle transporters were constructed.

In 1968 Kässbohrer set up a factory in Salzburg, the first in a foreign country.

During the 90ies the various lines of business of the Kässbohrer group developed into independent companies.

On March 1, 1995 Kässbohrer Transport Technik was founded, its focus on the production of vehicle transporters.

The subsidiary company „Kässbohrer Car Carriers International“ has been established in 2007 due to the increasing internationalization of the business. KCCI´s main office is situated in Eugendorf and supports in several countries the markets on-side with international market companies.
