ECG academy students visit Kässbohrer
Innovative professionals from the automobile logistics industry met in Salzburg at the end of November 2007 within the framework of the ECG academy course for an exciting exchange of diverse methods and ideas.
The academy of the "European Car-Transport Group of Interest" (ECG), an association of European car transportation companies, was holding one of the modules from the course "Certified Automobile Logistician" (EBS) in Salzburg and submitted the instruments of modern logistics management to a practical test.
This course includes different projects where students from all over Europe study not only how to employ multifaceted strategies for the planning, monitoring and evaluation of procedures, but also how to assume managerial functions in the field of automobile logistics. The learning of theoretical principles takes a backseat to a real-world look into the relevant areas of industry-specific processes, and interdisciplinary approaches illustrate the basic value of functioning networks for work in the automobile logistics industry.
Academy students were able to use Kässbohrer as an example to compare how knowledge compares with reality. The visit was of great interest to the total of 23 students attending. In addition, an attractive support programme offered representatives of the automobile logistics industry the opportunity to make new contacts and forge new partnerships.
Kässbohrer also participated in the ECG academy in another way: among the inquisitive students with real world experience was Markus Guggenbichler, Kässbohrer's Head of Sales and Marketing.
