Kässbohrer is further expanding their range of car transporters

Kässbohrer Transport Technik GmbH, renowned producer of car transporters, is expanding their product portfolio through the acquisition of German manufacturer Dortmann Fahrzeugbau GmbH & Co. KG


As from November 1st, 2017, Kässbohrer Transport Technik GmbH based in Eugendorf (Salzburg, Austria) is taking over the German company Dortmann Fahrzeugbau GmbH & Co KG, which is specialized in flatbed transporters for loading one to seven cars. With the acquisition of Dortmann, the family-owned Kässbohrer company is pursuing its growth strategy in the demanding area of special vehicles.

Kässbohrer Transport Technik GmbH, located in Eugendorf in the region of Salzburg (Austria), is an international company active in more than 30  countries. It has around 400 employees and the annual sales revenue is about 150 million €. Kässbohrer has over 100 years of experience in building transporters and the main shareholder is still the Kässbohrer family from Ulm (Germany). The company sees itself as a partner of the automotive logistics and OEMs and stands out throgh the innovation, flexibility and efficiency of its car transporters vehicles and superstructures.

With the recent acquisition of Rohr Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH located in Straubing, Kässbohrer is expanding its product portfolio in the sectors of special vehicles, cooling bodies and tanker vehicles.
