Through maintenance, repair, modernization, and optimization, we enhance the efficiency of existing vehicles while reducing the need for new production. A key contribution is made by our Extra-Life approach: by reusing, modernizing, and continuously improving vehicles, bodies, and components, valuable resources remain in use for longer, while additional circular economy potential is unlocked.
The close integration of product development, service, and operational experience enables us to incorporate insights gained from real-world applications directly into future product generations, continuously increasing the service life of our solutions.
Efficient transport requires climate-friendly solutions. That is why we systematically monitor our greenhouse gas emissions and implement measures for their continuous reduction.
A particular focus is placed on energy efficiency in production, the expansion of renewable energy, electricity generation through photovoltaic systems, and the gradual electrification of our vehicle fleet. At the same time, we work closely with our suppliers to reduce emissions throughout the value chain.
Within our production processes, we continuously optimize operations and resource utilization. Through lean management principles, we reduce material consumption, production waste, and scrap throughout the manufacturing process.
In addition, we pursue a consistent circular approach within our production operations, for example through the recovery and reuse of solvents. Wherever possible, we also consider aspects such as durability, reusability, and recyclability when selecting materials.
